Participation in the Seamless Acceptance process is limited to mailings and mailers that meet specific requirements for mail preparation, barcoding, and electronic documentation.
The Postal Service has revised mailing standards of the United States Postal Service to require all mailers with Full-Service mailings to participate in Automated Verifications. In addition, the Postal Service intends to require all mailers with a Detached Mail Unit (DMU) with Full-Service eligible mail to enroll in the Seamless Acceptance Program and to verify all BMEU entered Full-Service mailings using automated verification processes.This means mailers submitting Full-Service volume at a DMU or BMEU will be automatically enrolled in automated verifications.
Participation in Seamless Acceptance is required for mailers with Full-Service eligible mail that have a DMU. Mailers submitting Full-Service Mail at a BMEU have the option to enroll in Seamless Acceptance. Mailings with Full-Service volume will be verified using automated verification processes that measure Seamless Acceptance metrics. Any mailer over the Seamless metric thresholds at a DMU or BMEU may have an assessment. Information on Seamless Acceptance participation is available in DMM 705.22.
