Veterans’ preference is granted to eligible applicants for Postal Service employment. The Postal Service’s online application system, eCareer, adds claimed preference points to examination ratings as required by the Veterans’ Preference Act of 1944, as amended, or arranges the applicants in rank order by veterans’ preference claim status (see 441).
