717 Non-Postal Service Personnel Participation in Postal Training

Postal Service training may be provided to non-Postal Service personnel under the following circumstances:

  1. If Conducted at Contract Stations with Approval. Retail services training may be provided to personnel at contract stations if approved by the district manager or another installation head in coordination with the LDDC.
  2. If the Director of Learning and Development Approves. The director of Learning and Development must approve all other non-Postal Service personnel participation in Postal Service training
  3. If It Makes a Long-Term Positive Impact. The training leads to non-Postal Service personnel continuing throughout their careers to learn and improve their knowledge, skills, and abilities while they share what they have learned with other employees.
